Once off-limits because of military patrols, this stretch of shoreline now has a wooden walkway hugging the foot of towering cliffs. The path follows jagged rocks and clear, deep water, with sea stacks and terraced cliffs that geologists call marine terraces. The walk takes about two hours at an easy pace.

Access can be limited to a set number of visitors each day, and high waves or wind can close the route. Check weather and booking first. Wear good shoes and bring water.

Prices may change.

Getting there

From Gangneung Station (강릉역) take a taxi, about 30 minutes, or a bus toward Jeongdongjin, then another bus or taxi to the trail. There are entrances at both ends.
