Jeongdongjin Rail Bike 정동진 레일바이크
Gangneung · Jeongdongjin & Simgok · Fun & activities
Old rails that once carried freight along the coast have been given a second life as a rail bike route. You pedal a small open cart along the track, with the sea on one side and pine woods on the other, passing through short tunnels and over seaside bridges. It is easy even for those who dislike exercise, and the pace is slow enough to enjoy the view.
Carts hold two to four people, so a solo traveler usually has to share or pay for a full cart. Reserve ahead online on busy days. Fees may change.
The departure point is next to Jeongdongjin Station (정동진역), reached by train or taxi from Gangneung. Check the official site for the schedule and any English booking page.
