This vast building is both a working coffee roastery and a cafe, with huge roasting machines on view and bags of beans stacked on shelves. It is where Gangneung's coffee reputation took shape, and the space feels part industrial, part gallery, with high ceilings and large windows. A bakery next door sells fresh bread and pastries.
It is set in the countryside south of the city, so allow time for the trip, ideally combined with the arboretum nearby. Prices are standard for a Korean cafe. Hours may change.
It is about 15 minutes by car or taxi from downtown, a longer ride from Gangneung Station (강릉역). Bus service is limited, so a taxi is easier. A large parking lot is on site.
