Naksan Jeonbuk Paldo Sikdang 낙산전북팔도식당

Yangyang · Naksan & Mulchi · Meal

MealFood & marketsIndoor

This family-style restaurant on the road to Naksansa serves fish soups and braises, the sort of food locals eat in winter to warm up. Gomchi soup, made with a soft, slightly gelatinous sea fish, is clear and mildly spicy, and the braised flounder is sweet and salty over radish. A meal comes with rice and plenty of banchan, so portions are generous.

It opens early in the morning, which makes it a practical stop right after watching the sunrise at Uisangdae. Seating is on the floor or at tables depending on the area, so ask. Expect to pay a mid-range price per person, and note that menus and hours can change.

Getting there

It is on the lane leading to the Naksansa entrance, within walking distance of the temple car park. By bus, get off at the Naksansa stop. (Show a driver: 낙산전북팔도식당)
