Beombaui Makguksu 범바우막국수

MealFood & marketsIndoorClosed Wed

Makguksu is the buckwheat noodle dish of Gangwon Province, and this big roadside restaurant serves it two ways: cold in broth, or mixed in a spicy, tangy sauce. The noodles are chewy and made in house, and a side of boiled pork pairs well with them if you are sharing. There is room for large groups, a roomy car park and children's portions, so it is stress-free for families.

Service is quick and the menu is short, which suits a simple meal between sightseeing stops. It is closed on Wednesdays, which catches many visitors out. Prices are moderate and can change, and the dining room fills at weekend noon.

Getting there

It sits beside the coastal road near Seorak Beach with its own car park. A taxi from Naksan takes only a few minutes. (Show a driver: 범바우막국수)
