Gwangjuho Lake Ecological Park 광주호 호수생태원
Damyang · Soswaewon, Sigyeongjeong & Gasa Literature District · Parks & nature

This ecological park is a boardwalk and wetland area at the edge of Gwangju Lake, built so visitors can stroll beside reed beds and shallow water. It is level and easy, so families and older walkers manage well. The boardwalk is open to all without a ticket.
The lake and the forest are close together, which gives a calm way to add a walk after visiting the pavilions. Birds often visit the wetland. Shade is partial, so bring a hat in summer.
Plan about an hour. Pets on leads are generally accepted outdoors. Check conditions after rain, when the boardwalk can be slippery.
By car or taxi, about 25 minutes from Damyang town; there is a parking lot at the park. (Show a driver: 광주호 호수생태원)
