A longtime recreation area on the Geumho River, with duck boats, a riverside path and a footbridge across the water, Dongchon feels nostalgic and local. Spring blossoms line the embankments, and in autumn the evening light is soft over the river. Restaurants and cafes are spread along the bank, so it is easy to pair a walk with a meal.
Entry is free, and boat rentals and activities cost extra. It is more pleasant than exciting, so treat it as a relaxed afternoon outing. Opening hours for rides vary with the season.
