Donghae Makguksu 동해막국수
Yangyang · Jukdo, Ingu & Namae · Meal
A large roadside restaurant that serves buckwheat noodles in cold broth and boiled pork to share. The noodles are chewy, the broth mild and tangy, and the pork is a nice companion. There is plenty of seating and parking, which makes it simple for groups and families.
It is on the road south toward Gangneung, so it works as a last meal before crossing the county line. Prices are moderate. Peak lunch can be busy, so arrive before noon.
Expect a casual dining room and fast service. Check that it is open before you drive out of your way.
It sits on the national road at the southern end of Hyeonnam-myeon, with a wide lot. (Show a driver: 동해막국수)
