Eochon Maeul Mulhoe Seopguk 어촌마을물회섭국
Yangyang · Jukdo, Ingu & Namae · Meal
Seopguk is a clam-style soup from this coast, made with a local shellfish and brothy, mild, warming flavours. Eochon Maeul serves it alongside mulhoe made with flounder, a cold and tangy dish that suits summer. The restaurant is small, simple and aimed at locals as much as visitors.
Prices are moderate. It is closed on Wednesdays and often closes by around four in the afternoon on weekdays, so plan lunch. A hot bowl of seopguk is a warm start to a cool day.
Ask if you are unsure what to order, and aim for a late morning arrival to avoid delays.
It is at the entrance to Ingu harbour, a short walk from the public lot at Ingu Beach. (Show a driver: 어촌마을물회섭국)
