Jukdojeong Pavilion 죽도정
Yangyang · Jukdo, Ingu & Namae · Sights
Jukdojeong is a small pavilion at the summit of Jukdo, a little rock-and-pine island linked to the shore. Stone steps lead up in a few minutes, and from the top you see the surf beaches, the town and a long coastline. It is short and sweet: fifty minutes is more than enough, including photographs.
It suits sunrise or sunset, when the light picks out the wave lines. The steps make it hard with a stroller, and the wind can be strong, so hold the railing. The island is free to enter.
If you are not feeling energetic, it is still worth a glance from the beach.
Walk up from Jukdo Beach, where the stairs begin between the beach and Ingu. Use the public lot at Jukdo Beach. (Show a driver: 죽도정)
