Sangsa Lake — Suncheon Naganeupseong Folk Village
Photo: Korea Tourism Organization (KOGL)

A reservoir tucked in the hills between the town center and the village, offering green water, mountain scenery and quiet roads. Most people stop at a viewpoint or a roadside space for a break, take photos and move on. There is no big visitor center, so it is more of a pause than a full outing.

The surrounding roads are good for drives, and cyclists sometimes ride here. There are no real facilities, so carry your own drinks. The best light comes in the early morning or late afternoon, and autumn color brightens the shoreline.

Dogs on a leash are generally fine, but keep them away from the water.

Getting there

Reached by car along the hill road between Suncheon and Nagan. A taxi from the center takes about 20 to 25 minutes. (Show a driver: 상사호)
