Nagan Hyanggyo 낙안향교
Suncheon · Naganeupseong Folk Village · Sights

A little-known hyanggyo near the village, set in a peaceful grove, where Joseon officials once trained local students. The compound has a lecture hall, a shrine and a gate, all with traditional tiled roofs and wooden pillars. It is free and rarely crowded, so you may have the grounds to yourself, which makes it appealing to those who like quiet places.
Signs are in Korean, and the visit is brief, about 20 to 30 minutes. It is within walking distance of the fortress, so it fits a slow day wandering the countryside. There are no cafes or shops directly beside it, so bring a bottle of water.
A camera is useful for the ageing wooden details.
About a 15-minute walk from Naganeupseong, or a very short drive. (Show a driver: 낙안향교)
