Sokcho Beach 속초해수욕장
Sokcho · Cheongho-dong & Sokcho Beach · Parks & nature

A long, sandy beach lined with pines forms the city's seaside heart, and its gentle slope and wide shore make it easy for families and casual walkers. In summer, lifeguards, beach umbrellas and food stalls appear, and the nighttime promenade fills with light shows and small markets. Outside the swimming season, the beach is quieter, perfect for a walk at sunrise or for watching surfers and the sea.
Follow the flags and signs, since riptides can occur. Rinse stations and restrooms are available near the main entrance. Swimming dates and facilities change each year, so check before planning a dip.
From Sokcho Express Bus Terminal it is about a 10-minute taxi ride. City buses also stop along the beach road. (Show a driver: 속초해수욕장)
