Starfield Library, COEX Mall 별마당도서관·코엑스
Seoul · Gangnam & COEX · Sights
In the heart of COEX Mall, Starfield Library is a reading hall whose walls of books rise to a ceiling above you, with seating areas spread among the shelves. The space opened as a public library, so entry is free, and the shelves hold tens of thousands of volumes in many languages, though most are Korean. Visitors come for the scale and for photos, and they often stay to sit and browse magazines or order a drink from a nearby shop.
It gets crowded on weekends, so arrive early if you want a seat. Hours may change, and it can close for events.
Samseong Station (삼성역), Line 2, Exit 5 or 6, connects underground to COEX Mall. Follow the signs to Starfield Library.
