Hanok Village Lanes & Eunhaeng-ro Walk 한옥마을 골목·은행로 산책
Jeonju · Hanok Village · Sights
The Hanok Village is not one sight but a district of hundreds of traditional houses, woven together by lanes that are best explored without a plan. Taejo-ro and Eunhaeng-ro form the main spine, lined with craft shops, snack stalls, tea rooms and rental shops for hanbok, the traditional Korean dress. Duck down the side alleys to find quieter courtyards and photo-friendly corners, and watch for residents' homes, as people still live here.
Street snacks are part of the fun, from skewers to sweet rice cakes, and small shops often take cards but a little cash helps. Tourist information centers have English maps.
Take a city bus or taxi from Jeonju Station or the Express Bus Terminal to the Hanok Village, about 20 minutes by bus or ten to 15 by taxi. Once inside, everything is on foot. (Show a driver: 한옥마을 골목·은행로 산책)
