Nambu Market, Youth Mall & Night Market 남부시장·청년몰·야시장
Jeonju · Hanok Village · Shopping
Nambu Market is Jeonju's traditional market, a maze of stalls selling produce, dried fish, rice cakes and cooked food. Upstairs, the Youth Mall is a loop of small vendors run by young entrepreneurs, offering street food, handmade goods and casual dining. The night market usually runs on Friday and Saturday evenings, though dates and hours change by season, so ask your hotel before you plan around it.
Most stalls display prices clearly, and many sell items you can eat standing up. A few vendors prefer cash, so keep some small bills with you. The market is also a convenient place to sample local blood sausage and bean-sprout rice soup.
The market is a five-minute walk south of Pungnammun Gate and Jeondong Catholic Cathedral. From Jeonju Station, take a bus or taxi toward the Hanok Village. (Show a driver: 남부시장·청년몰·야시장)
