Hanbyeokdang is a pavilion perched on a rock above Jeonju Stream, and the walk to it follows a pleasant path along the water. Past the pavilion, a short tunnel known as Hanbyeokgul leads on to an upstream stretch of the stream path, with benches and open sky. In spring, cherry blossoms line the banks, and in autumn silver grass fills the edges.

It is an easy, flat walk, good for a slow morning. There is no fee, and the area is calm and local. Bring water in summer, as shade can be limited along stretches.

Getting there

From the Hanok Village, follow the stream south, about 20 minutes on foot, or take a short taxi ride. Buses to the Hanbyeokdang area also run from the center. (Show a driver: 한벽당·전주천 산책길)
