Pungpaejigwan (Gaeksa Hall) 전주 풍패지관(객사)
Jeonju · Gaekridan-gil & Downtown · Sights
Pungpaejigwan, also called Gaeksa, was a government guesthouse where visiting officials stayed and where the king's tablet was enshrined. The building is large and stately, with a heavy tiled roof and rows of wooden columns, and it gave Gaekridan-gil its name. It sits right in the middle of the city, surrounded by streets, so visitors treat it as a brief stop rather than a major excursion.
A few minutes is enough to admire the architecture and read the panels. Entry has been free, but check on site because opening rules may change.
It is in the middle of downtown Jeonju, about 15 minutes on foot from the Hanok Village. Take a bus or taxi toward Gaeksa. (Show a driver: 전주 풍패지관(객사))
