Jeonju Film Street 전주 영화의거리
Jeonju · Gaekridan-gil & Downtown · Sights
Jeonju Film Street is the home of the Jeonju International Film Festival, which takes place each spring and draws cinephiles from around Korea. On ordinary days it is a lane of cinemas, small arcades, snack shops and cafes that links directly to Gaekridan-gil, making it an easy extension of an evening walk. Look for handprints and film-themed decorations along the route, and check cinema schedules if you fancy a movie, although most films are shown in Korean.
The street is lively but not overwhelming, and snacks are cheap, so it works well for casual wandering with friends.
It is in the downtown area next to Gaekridan-gil, about 15 minutes on foot from the Hanok Village. City buses and taxis reach it easily from Jeonju Station. (Show a driver: 전주 영화의거리)
