Jeongancheon Ecological Park 정안천생태공원

Gongju · Geum River & Sinkwan-dong · Parks & nature

Parks & natureNature & parksPhoto spotsOutdoorPet-friendly

A wetland park laid out along Jeongancheon, a stream that flows through the northern edge of the city. Wide paths run past reed beds, a tree-lined avenue and a lotus pond, and in July the flowers open wide in the early morning, which is when the park is at its best. Families come to walk and cycle, and the flat surface makes it comfortable for older visitors too.

Outside lotus season it is simply a calm green space with benches and open sky. Summer sun is strong with little shade, so bring a hat and water. Admission is free, and a car or taxi is the practical way to reach it because buses are sparse.

Getting there

It is a 15-minute taxi ride from the bus terminal; there is free parking at the park. (Show a driver: 정안천생태공원)
