Saeihak Garden 새이학가든

Gongju · Muryeong Tomb, Museum & Gomanaru · Meal

MealFood & marketsHistory & palacesIndoorClosed Mon

A family-run gukbap house, serving the clear beef-bone rice soup that Gongju is known for. The broth is light yet deep, topped with a generous heap of chopped green onion, and the bowl comes with rice already in it, plus kimchi on the side. It is a classic first meal in town or a warming one in winter.

The shop is located a short walk from the fortress west gate, so many visitors stop after climbing the wall. Closed Mondays. Prices are modest, and the room is plain, with floor and table seating.

Expect a wait at peak lunch time on weekends. Hours may shift.
