Gongju Hanok Village 공주한옥마을
Gongju · Muryeong Tomb, Museum & Gomanaru · Sights

A cluster of newly built hanok, traditional Korean houses, set on a slope near the tombs and the National Museum. The houses are rented as guest rooms, but the lanes between them are open to anyone for a stroll, and the curved tile roofs make attractive photographs. Facilities include a small restaurant and a hall for traditional experiences, though what is on offer changes from season to season.
The village is quiet and slightly removed from the city center, which suits couples and parents. A walk through takes about an hour, and staying overnight lets you try sleeping on a heated floor.
Take a taxi from the old town in about ten minutes, or walk from the National Museum in around ten. Parking is on site. (Show a driver: 공주한옥마을)
