Gomanaru Pine Grove 고마나루 솔밭
Gongju · Muryeong Tomb, Museum & Gomanaru · Parks & nature
Gomanaru was an old ferry crossing on the Geum River, and its name is tied to a legend about a bear. The riverside is now a pine grove with benches, grass and walking paths, a quiet spot where families stretch out and cyclists rest. Across the water rises the wooded hill of Yeonmisan.
At low sun the river turns gold and the pines cast long shadows, so this is a lovely place to end the afternoon. The park costs nothing to enter. Paths are flat and easy, and leashed dogs are welcome.
Bring water and snacks, since options on site are limited. Plan about an hour, longer if you picnic.
It is a 15-minute taxi or city-bus ride from the old town, and a short walk from Gongju Hanok Village. Free parking is available. (Show a driver: 고마나루 솔밭)
