Gongju Weir 공주보
Gongju · Muryeong Tomb, Museum & Gomanaru · Parks & nature
A weir on the Geum River with a pedestrian bridge on top, reached from the riverside paths. It is part of the long cycling route along the river, and the wide open view of water, sky and distant hills is the draw. Walking across takes only a few minutes, but the surroundings are pleasant, with benches and stretches of riverside grass.
Sunset can be striking when the sky reflects on the slow current. It is a stop for people who enjoy a plain, open landscape rather than a landmark. Facilities are limited, so bring water.
There is no fee.
A taxi from the old town takes about 15 minutes; buses are infrequent. Free parking near the bridge. (Show a driver: 공주보)
