Myeongjisan County Park 명지산군립공원
Gapyeong · Jojong, Hyeonri & Myeongjisan · Parks & nature

This park around Myeongjisan, one of the highest peaks in the province, has valley-side paths, small bridges and cascades that are easy to enjoy without climbing to the summit. The bridge route makes a light outing, whereas the summit hike is a very different challenge, and daylight ends early in the colder months. The foliage peaks in late October, and a summer morning beside the stream is cool and pleasant.
Entry is free, parking is limited in busy weeks, and public transport is inconvenient, so most visitors come by car or taxi. Wear shoes with grip, since the rocks near the water can be slick.
Start from the car park at the trailhead in Buk-myeon; no convenient public transport, so drive or taxi. (Show a driver: 명지산군립공원)
