The town's main traditional market is a compact set of lanes selling local specialties, above all pine nuts, which Gapyeong is famous for, along with dried goods, mountain vegetables, street snacks and small restaurants. On market days extra stalls spread out along the street and the atmosphere gets lively. Pine nuts and processed pine-nut products vary in price from shop to shop, so compare a few before buying.

Many stalls prefer cash, though some accept cards. It is also a handy place to pick up picnic food before Nami Island or the riverside.
