Jarasum Island 자라섬
Gapyeong · Gapyeong Town, Nami & Jara Islands · Parks & nature

Jarasum is a flat, grassy island and riverside park a few minutes from Gapyeong Station, with wide lawns, reed beds and long paths for walking or cycling. Seasonal flower fields appear in late spring and autumn, and the camping area on the west side draws tent-carrying visitors all year. In early October the island hosts a well-known jazz festival, when tickets and nearby lodging go quickly.
Outside festival dates it is usually free to enter and feels spacious and unhurried, making it a relaxed counterpart to busier Nami Island. Sunset over the water is the best moment for photos.
It is about a five-minute taxi ride from Gapyeong Station, and a parking lot sits near the island entrance. Festival days may bring temporary lots and shuttles. (Show a driver: 자라섬)
