Dumae Makguksu 두메막국수
Gapyeong · Gapyeong Town, Nami & Jara Islands · Meal
A countryside makguksu shop north of the town center that serves cold buckwheat noodles with a savory-sour sauce, sometimes alongside a warm meat side dish. It opens around 11 a.m. and tends to close in the afternoon, so treat lunch as your one opportunity. Because it is outside the busiest tourist streets it can feel calm on weekdays.
If you are not sure about the sauce, ask for it lightly mixed and add chili paste yourself. Cards are usually accepted, but confirm hours by phone since small shops can change their schedule.
Drive about ten minutes north of Gapyeong town along the main road; parking is available in front of the shop. (Show a driver: 두메막국수)
