Dalseong Park 달성공원
Daegu · Jung-gu Old Downtown · Parks & nature

Daegu's oldest park sits on the site of an earthen fortress from the ancient Samhan era, and its old trees and earth ramparts give it a quiet, historic feeling in the middle of the city. The park also contains a free zoo with monkeys, birds and large mammals, which makes it popular with local families, though the animal exhibits and opening details may change. A few shrines and monuments dot the paths, including memorials to local historical figures.
The route is gently sloped and easy to walk. Pair a morning here with a market lunch, and it feels like a calm interlude between the busier streets nearby.
Subway Line 3 to Dalseong Park Station, then about five minutes on foot to the main gate. Street parking in front of the entrance is available. (Show a driver: 달성공원)
