Ethiopia House is a historic cafe by Gongjicheon Park, set up in the late 1960s by a Korean War veteran with ties to Ethiopia, and is often described as one of the early places in Korea to serve freshly ground beans. Its signature drink is hand-dripped coffee brewed from Ethiopian beans, served slowly and quietly with a view of the lake from the windows. The atmosphere is old-fashioned and unhurried, so it is a place to sit for an hour rather than grab and go.

Prices are close to normal cafe rates, and it is cozy on cold days. Menus and hours may vary, and the building sometimes holds small exhibitions.
