This makguksu restaurant is a short walk from the lower station of the Samaksan cable car, which makes it a natural lunch stop on that side of the lake. The menu has the Chuncheon standards: cold mixed noodles, noodles in chilled broth and a plate of boiled pork or dumplings to share. Portions are filling, the noodles are chewy and the dongchimi-style broth is refreshing on a hot day.
Staff are used to tourists, though English is limited. It also works if you simply want something light, as the mixed noodles take only minutes to arrive. Prices and hours can change with the season.
