Deungseon Falls (Samaksan) 삼악산 등선폭포
Chuncheon · Uiam Lake & Samaksan · Parks & nature
A trail enters the western gorge of Samaksan and passes a chain of waterfalls tucked between rock walls, reaching the main falls after a modest climb. The path has steps and some slippery sections, so good shoes help, and the air is noticeably cooler than in town, making it a pleasant summer outing. Many visitors stop at the falls, while stronger hikers continue up toward the summit, which is a much longer and steeper commitment.
A small entrance fee is charged at the ticket gate. The falls look best after rain, when the water volume is high. Expect to spend two hours, more if you linger or climb further.
From Namchuncheon Station, take a bus toward Gangchon and get off near the Deungseon Falls stop, close to the ticket gate; there is a car park at the entrance. (Show a driver: 삼악산 등선폭포)
