Busan Citizens Park occupies the site of a former US military camp and opened in the 2010s as a great green space in the middle of the city. Broad lawns, ponds, wooded paths and a modest history hall tell the story of the land. Families picnic, joggers run the loops and couples sit on benches under big trees.

It is free to enter and a simple way to unwind between sights, particularly in spring when flowers bloom. The walking is easy but wide, so shade is limited in summer. Facilities such as the water play area operate seasonally, and hours may vary.

Getting there

Bujeon Station (부전역), Line 1, then a walk of about 10 minutes. (Show a driver: 부산시민공원)
