Seomyeon has its own lane of pork soup restaurants, and this one carries a three-generation reputation in the neighborhood. A bowl arrives with a clouded pork broth, rice and meat, and the side dishes include kimchi and radish. You flavor it yourself, so start light and add more seasoning as you go.

The shop stays open into the small hours for people who come after a night out, and it is also busy at lunch. Seating is plain and quick, and it works well for solo travelers. Prices are modest and may change, and the staff speak mostly Korean, so pointing at the menu is enough.
