Muchangpo Beach 무창포해수욕장
Boryeong · Muchangpo, Nampo & Jukdo · Parks & nature

A quieter beach than Daecheon, backed by pine groves and a small resort village. The sand is soft and the sea shallow, so families with young children are comfortable here. The shore faces west, which makes sunset the main event, and at low tide the flats reveal rocks and tide pools.
A boardwalk and some seafront restaurants make it easy to stay for a meal. During the summer swimming season the beach is lively but not as packed as Daecheon. In the evening, lighting along the shore creates a gentle night atmosphere.
From Daecheon Station take a taxi (about 30 to 35 minutes) or a local bus toward Muchangpo; a car is easier. Parking is near the beach. (Show a driver: 무창포해수욕장)
