Wonsando Beach 원산도해수욕장
Boryeong · Ocheon Port, Sooyeongseong & Wonsando · Parks & nature
A pocket of sand on Wonsando island that became easy to reach once the undersea tunnel opened. The water is calm, the beach is modest in size, and a line of pine trees offers shade at the back. A couple of restaurants and cafes sit nearby, but facilities are limited compared with the mainland.
It makes a relaxed alternative to Daecheon Beach, especially outside July and August. The sunset over the sea is good on clear evenings. Bring your own picnic supplies if you want to stay long.
Cross the Boryeong Undersea Tunnel by car (about 20 to 30 minutes from Daecheon Port), then follow signs for Wonsando Beach. Public transport is limited, so a car or taxi is best. (Show a driver: 원산도해수욕장)
