Gosodong Angel Mural Village — Yeosu Old Downtown, Isunsin Square & Nangman Pocha

Painted angel wings, flowers and sea scenes brighten the stairs and walls of a hillside neighborhood that locals call the 1004 Angel mural lane. The route climbs gently along steep alleys, passing small houses and pocket gardens, and it ends at viewpoints over the harbor and the Dolsan Bridge. Because it is a living residential area, speak softly and avoid blocking doorways.

A few cafes at the top offer seats with sea views. The paintings are repainted from time to time, so some pieces look fresher than others. Allow about an hour, bring water on hot days, and wear shoes with decent grip because the lanes are uneven.

Getting there

Walk up from Isunsin Square in about 10 minutes, following the mural signs. Taxis can drop you near the top. (Show a driver: 고소동 벽화마을)
