Parks & natureNature & parksPhoto spotsOutdoor

Odongdo is a small forested islet joined to the mainland by a 768 meter breakwater, so you can walk or ride the little Dongbaek train to reach it. Camellias bloom here through winter and early spring, and the dense woods stay green in other seasons. Paths loop past a lighthouse with a free viewing deck, rocky shores and a musical fountain that is lit in the evening.

Walking the loop takes about an hour at a relaxed pace, and benches are plentiful. Entry is free, while the train is a small extra fee. Stay on marked paths, since coastal rocks are slippery when wet.

Getting there

It is a 10-minute walk from Yeosu-Expo Station; city buses and taxis also stop at the entrance. (Show a driver: 오동도)
