The grounds of the 2012 World Expo still hold a mix of museums, plazas, gardens and waterfront walks, all just beside the station. You can see the sea from the promenade, then climb the Sky Tower for a wider view, or step into the aquarium and the art museum within the same zone. It is open and easy to walk, but shade is scarce on sunny days, so carry water.
Some exhibition halls charge entry while the plazas and walkways are free. Hours and events change by season, so check current information. Allow half a day if you want to see more than a couple of venues.
It sits right outside Yeosu-Expo Station (여수엑스포역); from there it is a 5-minute walk. Buses and taxis stop in front.
