Dongho Beach 동호해변
Yangyang · Hajodae, Gisamun & Dongho · Parks & nature

Dongho is a modest crescent of sand with calm, shallow water, which makes it one of the friendliest beaches in the county for small children. Locals dig for clams at low tide in season, and visitors sometimes join in, though conditions and rules vary, so ask before you start. Crab restaurants and cafes stand directly across the road, so a beach morning and seafood lunch combine without travel.
It is quieter than Hajodae and Naksan, and the sand feels cleaner and less trampled. Summer mornings give the clearest water, while autumn afternoons are peaceful. Follow any lifeguard signage during the swimming season.
Take the coastal road to Seonsa-yujeok-ro and park in the lot opposite the beach. A taxi from Yangyang town is straightforward. (Show a driver: 동호해변)
