Hajodae Beach 하조대해수욕장
Yangyang · Hajodae, Gisamun & Dongho · Parks & nature

Hajodae Beach is wide, sandy and backed by a cliff, which gives it a more dramatic shape than the flat beaches further south. It is lively in summer, with swimmers, umbrellas and surf lessons nearby, and it quietens in autumn and winter, when walkers take over. A row of restaurants and cafes sit along the road, so you can combine a swim or walk with a meal.
Families enjoy the gradual slope, and the sand is soft. Swim only in the open season and follow lifeguard flags. The beach is free.
The cliff-top pavilion is within walking distance, so a combined visit is easy.
Use the beach car park on Hajodae-haean-gil; Hajodae itself is a walk away. Bus service is limited. (Show a driver: 하조대해수욕장)
