Tobaki Sikdang 토박이식당

Yangyang · Osaek, Hangyeryeong & Seomyeon · Meal

MealFood & marketsIndoor

Tobaki means a local native, and this restaurant leans into mountain cooking: gondeure rice, a fragrant wild-herb dish cooked in a stone pot, as well as sets with namul, deodeok root and grilled fish. The sets arrive as a spread of small dishes, which is satisfying after a hike but usually require at least two people. Cooking is gentle and not heavily spiced, so it is easy for older travellers and visitors who prefer mild food.

Prices are moderate. Ask about the stone-pot rice cooking time, since rice in pots takes a while. Seating is on the floor or at tables, and the dining room is relaxed.

Getting there
