Jujeongol Valley 주전골
Yangyang · Osaek, Hangyeryeong & Seomyeon · Parks & nature
Jujeongol is a gorge walk that follows a stream through some of the most photogenic scenery on Seoraksan's eastern side. The route passes the small temple of Seongguksa, wooden bridges, boulders and rock walls, and ends at Yongso Falls. You can do it in about two and a half hours at a relaxed pace, with some steps and uneven ground, so wear proper walking shoes.
In mid October the maples are at their reddest, and early mornings are the least crowded. The park sometimes closes sections for safety, so check the national park notices before you go. Pets are not permitted on park trails.
Park at the Osaek village lot and walk to the Yaksu visitor centre where the trail begins. Public transport to Osaek is thin, so a car is practical. (Show a driver: 주전골)
