Omisa Honey Bread 오미사꿀빵
Tongyeong · Mireuk Island & Cable Car · Cafe
Omisa is an old bakery often credited as the original maker of Tongyeong's honey bread, and its sweet dough balls with red bean paste are a regional classic. Compared with the shops near the harbor, it is a little outside the old center, so it fits naturally on the way to or from the cable car. Buy a box to take home or eat a few fresh.
They are sticky and sweet, so tea or coffee goes well. Bring wipes. Prices are low and cards are normally accepted.
Because the bread is made in batches, popular flavors may sell out in the afternoon, so arrive earlier for the best choice. A packaged box travels better than a loose bag.
It is on the way between the old town and the cable car, so a taxi stop is easy. (Show a driver: 오미사꿀빵)
