Jeon Hyuck-rim Museum of Art 전혁림미술관
Tongyeong · Mireuk Island & Cable Car · Museums & exhibits
This small museum shows works by Jeon Hyuck-rim, a painter from Tongyeong known for bold colors inspired by the sea. The building itself is part of the exhibit, because its outer walls are covered in colorful ceramic tiles that he designed. Inside, galleries are compact, so thirty minutes is enough for most visitors.
The ticket price is small but may change. The museum is closed on Mondays, and opening hours may differ in holidays, so check ahead. Next door is an independent bookshop, so the two fit naturally together.
English captions are limited, but the paintings speak for themselves, and the staff are friendly.
Take a taxi from the old town, about 10 minutes, to the Mireuk Island side near the cable car. (Show a driver: 전혁림미술관)
