Suncheon Jorye Lake Park 순천조례호수공원

Suncheon · Old Downtown, Drama Set & New Town · Parks & nature

Parks & natureNature & parksPhoto spotsOutdoorPet-friendly

A tidy park in Suncheon's new town built around a lake, with a loop path of a few kilometers and lawns where families picnic. In the evening a fountain and lights come on, and joggers and walkers fill the path. Cafes and restaurants line the edge, so it is a natural place for a walk after dinner.

It is flat, free and easy for strollers and older travelers, though shade is patchy in midsummer. Cherry blossoms in April make the path pretty for a short time. It does not have the grandeur of the National Garden, but that is part of its charm, because it shows how people in Suncheon actually spend their evenings.

Leashed dogs are fine.
