Suncheon Culture Street 순천문화의거리
Suncheon · Old Downtown, Drama Set & New Town · Sights
A car-free pedestrian street in the old downtown, lined with clothes shops, snack bars, karaoke rooms and cafes. This is where local teenagers and families hang out, so it shows you everyday Suncheon rather than a sightseeing spot. The street gets lively once signs light up in the evening, and street food such as tteokbokki, fried snacks and ice cream is cheap and easy to try.
Few shops have English signs, but pointing and smiling usually works. It is not a place for quiet contemplation, and some stretches look tired in daylight. Plan for an hour of browsing, and use it as a way to pass time between the market and a late dinner.
A 15 to 20 minute walk or a short taxi from Suncheon Station. Underground parking lots are nearby. (Show a driver: 순천 문화의거리)
