Fresh fish sold by the kilogram is the charm of Daepo, and this large hall lets you buy your pick downstairs and eat it upstairs. After you choose a fish from the tanks, the staff slice it into sashimi while you wait. Upstairs, a table fee covers side dishes, lettuce for wrapping, sauces and a spicy stew made from the leftover bones.
Prices can differ by season and species, so ask for the total per kilogram before the fish is cut. Card payment is common. It works best with two or more people, because the minimum portions are large.
