Yeonnam-dong Cafe Alley 연남동 카페 골목

Seoul · Hongdae, Yeonnam & Mangwon · Cafe

CafeCafes & vibesPhoto spotsIndoor

Yeonnam-dong is Seoul's most charming cafe district, where small shops occupy former homes and narrow brick buildings. Every alley seems to offer a new idea, from a plant-filled terrace to a cafe devoted to a single dessert, and the pace is gentler than Hongdae next door. The area is easy to explore by walking in loops, and you can stop for pastries, tea or an iced coffee whenever you wish.

Some cafes ask for a minimum of one drink per person. Spaces are small, so groups may have to split up. Opening days vary, and some places close on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Menus and prices vary from shop to shop.

Getting there

Hongik University Station (홍대입구역), Line 2, Exit 3, is the nearest exit. From there, walk along the Gyeongui Line park.
