Ssamziegil, Insadong 인사동 쌈지길
Seoul · Jongno, Bukchon & Palaces · Shopping
Ssamziegil is a small shopping complex in Insadong whose open-air ramp spirals upward, with courtyard stalls and shops selling handmade accessories, ceramics, stationery and Korean traditional crafts. Browsing along the spiral is far more pleasant than a department store, and the top floor has a small garden and a few tea shops. Staff in the larger shops often speak English, and some shops offer tax-free service.
Opening hours differ by shop, and prices may change.
Getting there
Anguk Station (안국역), Line 3 Exit 6, is a five-minute walk. Jongno 3-ga Station (종로3가역), Line 1, 3 and 5, is also nearby.
